LITCHFIELD BOARD OF SELECTMAN 1993-2003

Audrey B. Blondin served as a member of the Litchfield Board of Selectmen from 1993-2003, she was the longest serving Democratic woman member of the Litchfield Board of Selectmen. During her five terms in office, she was involved in a number of local issues including advocacy for Litchfield seniors, a new Industrial complex and the creation of the Litchfield Book Exchange at the local recycling center.

Opening of the Litchfield Book Exchange
In April 2003, local residents donated over 116 pounds of items in two weeks for the troops in Kuwait. All was sent to Major Kevin Creed stationed in Kuwait, Iraq.

Selectman Audrey Blondin and First Selectman Jerry Zinn sent the boxes from the Litchfield Post Office for distribution to the troops in Iraq.
         

Selectman Audrey Blondin designed a collection box for items to be donated by town residents for the War in Iraq placed at the Litchfield Town Hall.
