LITCHFIELD
- Former Selectman Audrey Blondin rubbed elbows with Vice President Joe Biden
during Biden's recent visit to Hartford to Support U.S. Sen. Christopher J.
Dodd. Blondin, who serves on the Democratic State Central Committee,
met Biden several times when he was a senator and said being vice president
hasn't changed him. "The thing that impresses me the most about him is
how he is just a regular down-to-earth person without fancy ways about
him," Blondin said. "He wasn't any different as vice president.
Just the same eloquent, smart, compassionate individual he has always
been." Joining Blondin at the event at the Connecticut Science Center
were Kevin Creed of Litchfield and his wife, Evelyn. Kevin Creed is
also on the Democratic State Central Committee. About 100 people
attended, including State Rep. Michelle L. Cook, D-Torrington and her
husband, Christopher, and Torrington Constable Jerry Kincaid.
